Gary and I started BlackSheep’s Media around the end of 2017 but it really all started when Gary drug me to this new paintball field that was being built in Bakersfield. He had to see for himself if paintball was really back in the heart of Bakersfield. After a few times of playing, Gary could not stop talking about lanes, ropes of paint, snake side and doritos. This was so foreign to me. Instead of shrugging it off like any normal girlfriend would, I dove in head first. Probably 15 hours of paintball videos and research on paintball photographers, I decided to break out my old point and shoot, Fuji film camera and start snapping pictures. 3 years later I have an Associates in Arts majoring Digital Photography and a few (more than a few) thousand dollars in photography equipment including a Canon 6D Mark ii and a Mac Book Pro laptop. (Highly recommend)
Gary and I have struggled with alcoholism both in our families and within our selves. When Wolverine Paintball Field and our paintball family opened their arms to us, they had no idea the light they were keeping bright within our hearts. For this, we will forever be grateful for their kindness and love. They are still a big part of our lives to this day. We share our story in hopes of helping some one who may be struggling with the same things. Anxiety, Depression, Alcoholism, Addiction. There is hope, please reach out if this message hits home!
BlackSheep’s Media. Our media. We are not everyone’s cup of tea, but we may be a lot of people’s shot of whiskey!
After a few years of paintball, the kids got tired of just sitting at the paintball field on the weekends so we decided to buy a few dirt bikes. Had no idea how much our family would love riding, it really brings you closer as a family. One year and 8 bikes in, I think we are hooked. Stay tuned for more adventures of Black Sheep’s Media!
